Hi there, I'm Dirk. Let me take you back to 2005, a year that changed my life in ways I never imagined. Plagued by stress and persistent headaches, I found myself seeking relief from an acupuncturist. To my amazement, a simple needle inserted into my toe brought almost instant relief. That single moment ignited a profound shift in my perception of the human body. Despite having spent 30 years as an optometrist, I knew in that instant that my path lay in the world of acupuncture.

Within weeks, I enrolled in a four-year bachelor's program at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It was a leap of faith, embarking on a new journey as a middle-aged student, but it was also one of the best decisions I've ever made.

My passion for acupuncture knows no bounds. Whether it's alleviating pain, improving debilitating conditions, or aiding in fertility and pregnancy, I'm deeply committed to helping my clients achieve holistic well-being. As an ACC-accredited practitioner, I offer treatments for injuries and accidents, ensuring that my clients receive the care they need to thrive.

My approach to acupuncture revolves around whole-body balance. Drawing from a diverse range of traditional therapies, including Tuina massage, Qigong, and Taichi practices, I tailor each session to address the root cause of my clients' ailments, not just the symptoms. It's this focus on comprehensive care that leads to long-lasting solutions and a renewed sense of vitality.
